The 2018 playoffs have begun and the competition is looking fierce. The one seeds are the Houston Rockets and the Toronto Raptors. The Rockets are let by James Harden, who is a favorite to win MVP and Chris Paul, newly acquired in the offseason. The Rockets are playing the 8th Timberwolves. The Raptors are led by Demar Derozan. Toronto is vs. Washington in the First Round. The seconds seeds are the Golden State Warriors, who are trying to win without Steph Curry, who is injured. The beat up Warriors still have Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson. The Warriors are playing San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs don’t have Kawhi Leonard, but they have Manu Ginobili. The Boston Celtics are playing without their best players: Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward are both injured, but still have a good team. The Celtics are playing the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks are young and ready to play. Milwaukee is lead by Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton. They also have 2016-2017 Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon.

 

The three seeds are the Philadelphia 76ers and the Portland Trail Blazers. The 76ers have Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. They will be competing against the Miami Heat. The Blazers have Damian Lillard C.J McCollum. They are playing the New Orleans Pelicans with Anthony Davis. The middle seeds matchups are the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. the Indiana Pacers. The Cavs have Lebron James, who has never lost a first round playoff game. The Pacers have Victor Olidipo, who is the favorite to win the Most Improved Player Award. The middle matchup in the West is the Oklahoma City Thunder playing the Utah Jazz. The Thunder’s best players are Russell Westbrook and Paul George. The Jazz’s best player is Donovan Mitchell, who might win Rookie of the Year.

 

The First Round of the NBA Playoffs are set and the teams will be competing for the Finals. All of the teams have great players. Although some teams may be stronger than others, anyone can win.
