It all started in the offseason, where the Detroit Pistons made multiple good trades and picks. First they drafted Luke kennard with the 12th pick in the first round, who is now averaging 6 points. Next, they traded Marcus Morris for Avery Bradley. Lastly, re-signing Reggie Jackson and Andre Drummond with Reggie averaging 17 points and 7 assists and Andre averaging 15 points and leading the team with 1.5 steals a game and 1.7 blocks a game. He is also leading the entire NBA with 15 rebounds per game. That sums up the very successful offseason the Pistons had this summer.

The 2017-18 pistons had a slow start out of the gates, losing 2 out of the first 3 games. They have since won 12 of their last fourteen, including a winning streak of eight in a row.  Their starting five includes Reggie Jackson, Avery Bradley, Stanley Johnson, Tobias Harris, and Andre Drummond. Currently, they are in the top three teams in the east, competing with the Boston Celtics, and the team that has been to the finals 3 years in a row, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Overall, this has given Detroit fans something to look forward to with the young and upcoming Pistons, compared to the last five years when they have been uncompetitive.
