Halloween is America’s third biggest holiday, and many people agree that it’s popular for a reason. There are many ways to celebrate this spooky holiday! You might dress up, go to a party, a haunted house, or just stay home and watch a horror movie. You can carve pumpkins, go on hayrides, and go apple picking. But in 2017, the most popular part of halloween is the trick or treating! According to the United States Census Bureau , 118.3 million households in america plan to give out candy to trick or treaters. An estimated 41.1 million children will be trick or treating. What are they all doing it for? The exercise? Nope. The costumes? I think not.

As a trick or treater myself, I can tell you we all have one sweet goal. The candy. Yum! The whole country loves to have fun an halloween night. Here is a list of the most popular candies in each state according to Time Magazine . Fun fact! The most popular Halloween treat in our state is M&M’s.
